Discussing One’s Case

Case has an exact technical definition in Scientology. It means the entire accumulation of upsets, pain, failures, etc., residing in the preclear’s reactive mind. This is what is handled with auditing.

Discussing one’s case with anyone else besides an auditor in session is forbidden as this can cause problems in session. If a preclear has done this he should let his auditor or Case Supervisor know. The Case Supervisor is the staff member who directs the auditor and guides him in what auditing actions are needed for each individual preclear under his care.

Anyone who wishes to say something about his case before going into session or in between sessions should see his church’s staff Examiner. The preclear can tell the Examiner anything he wishes the Case Supervisor to know, and the Examiner will ensure the Case Supervisor receives the communication.
